On 2 May 2024, the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published updated information on the heavy rains affecting 147 municipalities of the state (40 increase since the 1 May report). In Rio Grande do Sul, there were 67,860 people affected (48,750 increase), 12 people were reported as injured (1 increase), and a total of 13 deaths have been reported (3 increase).
